Watched a Youtube  video yesterday from an American `expert` who suggested spraying tomato plants with a solution of asprin dissolved with water. Supposed to increase vitamins,taste, growth etc.  Anyone come across this before? I wouldn`t bother even if Monty Don suggested it.

Planted out some beans with nasturtiums as companions, then weeded all the beds. The asparagus that was late coming up is now over 4ft high 

I have honestly never seen so many slugs and snails all over the plot as I saw this morning.
They seem especially fond of eating all my onions and lilies! 

Anyone else experiencing a particularly slimy year?

Yep: onion, beans and squash plants totally devastated......

Constant rain from 1am so it's a very soggy and damp 11c but at least the wind has dropped.  We're forecast thunderstorms at lunchtime which should round things off nicely.
