Not sure if this is the right forum for this but has anybody used long handled forks? Are they better than the standard length handles for the taller person? If so, who does the best?

Not sure about forks,but I was on a job were we had a gang of fella's from the west of Ierland working,they had nothing but long handled shovels,it was a joy to watch them it appeared effortless.

I use a long handle fork, fairly sure it's a bulldog, i'm 5'9' and find the extra  leverage makes long work sessions less tiring. It's about 5yrs old, well used and still like new

i to use both a long handled fork shovel and spade i adapted them all from short handles i find  as said much easier to us the long handle type i got the tools  from the re-cycle centre cleaned them up and put new long shafts in them 

its rite they are better for me to work with although i have quite a collection of garden tools all cleaned and oiled i just nee to get a long handled muck fork as the one I've got is wearing thin
