Hi,
can anyone let me know avg germ time for:-
Parsnips
Beetroot
Carrots

Mine went in as suggested on packet at beginning of the month/ end of last, but no life yet , but turnips, radish  all doing well.
I though carrots germinated quickly?

I also have a homemade scarecrow that the kids helped me build,, problem is the pidgeons sit on it to see what to attack next.

does anyone know what ailment my rhubarb has,  i have it in many areas , but one area has shrivelled, holed leaves, and brown woody stem at base. pull off bad bits but new growth just does it again.

thanks

I believe that so long as the soil is above 6-7 degs you should be onto a winner
Maybe use a layer of fleece if you are unsure of the weather and that in turn will help to warm the soil up a bit more
