Long haul beans...

Mrs Growster and I were interested to see today that the Marks and Spencer runner beans came from Kenya!

Needless to say, we're waiting until some recent ones occur, down at The Patch...

Do kenya buy stuff from us , it does  seem a long way for such a delicate item .

A lot of French beans are from Kenya too. There have been reports that water is used to irrigate these crops for export in preference to Kenyan people having drinking water.

That's disgusting. I hope it's not true, but can't say I'd be surprised if it were.
