Title: Goat proof cover??
Post by: violet on January 26, 2013, 14:00
I have 2 pygmy goats and chickens living happily together.  I want to put some kind of cover over the omlet cube rune to give the girls a bit more shelter....however I am worried that the goats will eat whatever I put and make themselves ill???   Any ideas please?

Figure out how tall they stand with heads extended, and put up something one foot higher. You'll likely have to put it on separate stands but that's how I'd do it because, as you say, goats will eat and/or chew up anything. You'd also need something that extends a few feet beyond every side to be useful.

hmmmm that could work..For almost a year there has been a picnic rug (the material with waterproof layer) over the top of the "run" fastened with the bungee things and they have never bothered about it...suddenly it is a delicacy! I have replaced it with an off cut piece of heavy duty vinyl floor covering to see if that is tempting?!?!?

Goats! love them..... but!!!!!!
