Title: Have a Wonderful Merry Christmas
Post by: John on December 24, 2020, 11:02
It's going to be a quiet Christmas for us all but that need not be a bad thing. One of the best we had was the year we moved here. We were basically snowed in, just the two of us and the cats.

I hope you, Val and the rest of the family have a wonderful Christmas John xx

You deserve to take things a bit easier as well, but does that mean more time on here?  Guess we will have to start behaving ourselves then  :tongue2:

I think this forum has really shown its worth as a community this year more than ever.  Advice, support, laughs, a shoulder to cry on - whatever you need and its all here, so thank you for making the space for us to be here in.

As for those who feel not having the perfect cherry tomato ruins Christmas, well grow up is about the only response.  I reckon if you are set to moan, you will always have something to moan about.  I have a fridge, freezer and shed full of plot veg and I am over the moon with it all.  Make your own happiness and you will never be short of it   :)

Best wishes to you and the family John and Merry Christmas to everyone  :)

I'm sure we'll all manage to enjoy the quieter Christmas holiday that we can safely have :) Time to make up for any perceived loss, will be  once most people have been vaccinated and the weather is better, I reckon ;)
I've still baked just as much as normal, some of it was collected by family, when they collected their presents and left me mine - the rest is to spread some cheer along the terrace, safely delivered of course ;)

Same to you and Val, John.

I'm one of the many who had to change travel plans and won't be with family tomorrow, but we're making Plan B plans which won't be as good, but will be better than nothing.  :)

Merry Christmas to you John & Val & of course the rest of the forum members who’ve been great to ‘chat’ with this year. I’ve picked & prepped the sprouts- 2 varieties not perfect but I’m pretty damn pleased that I’ve finally got some bigger than peas lol, I forgot to pull the carrots, but I can do that in the morning when I check on the girls, leeks are picked & prepped, presents wrapped & I’m  good to go lol

My sprouts have done well this year, but they'll have to prepped in the morning. Val had me on drudge duties today, cleaning the ovens. Warning! Men - never give in to requests for a 2 oven cooker, it's double work
