another query (sorry!) :wub: but i am clearing a spot in my garden weather permitting am gunna rotovate and all being well create a maincrop spud patch holding in the region of around fifty to sixty plants how much longer would people say i have left to get em in the ground???? ??? ??? ??? ??? thanks ::)

They will be fine as long as they are in by the end of May imho

Last two years mine we not in until mid May and they were still out by September.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Good to hear as I've got some main crop to get out!

Actually I think they are still residing at my parents house, I'm sure I was promised some of what they ordered!

Now... the rain just nees to stop long enough to get them in!

you also get the advantage of not having to worry (too much) about frost at this time. By the time they come up the frost risk should have gone.

Mine go in end of March early April and the varieties I grow are early maincrop and out of the ground by end of August. I don't think it would harm them in any way to be set in May and lifted late September. The only problem I can possibly foresee is that around our way if Blight does strike then it is usually mid mid August, by which time mine are ready to come out of the ground.
99% Organic and 1% Slug Pellets.
