Have I 'missed the boat'?

After the 100% failure at grafting apples last year by cutting the scions in autumn and keeping them until spring.  This year I'm going to try and cut & graft  A.S.A.P.

Have I missed the boat or is grafting time still here?      Cheers,     Tony.

I too tried grafting apples last year (kept them in the fridge for 3 or 4 months!), but managed to get 2 to definitely work, 1 to definitely NOT work and 1 that has shown me nothing but is still green under the bark!

This weekend I will be grafting 1 (or maybe 2) of my old apple tree.

P.S. the 2 that worked are still to break bud, where as my main apple tree is well under way! I really want to keep this variety going, so I hope this works....
