think i jumped in on another topic earlier,sry ill start again
i got some weed control fabric from our allotment shop,i planted strawberrys through it,its quiet thick but it does not let water through , i water through the holes,any surplus water stays on top ,reading the last post on this i think i made a boo boo,it was expensive too an was recomended by the chappy selling it,thanx mick

It wasn't weed control fabric you bought .....that lets water/air through.

Bit naughty of allotment shop to sell it to you for that use I think.

I think what you got was weed suppressant stuff which is idifferent and is impermeable to light, air and water. Don't worry - you can replace it over winter and re-use it in other areas where you don't want weeds to grow.
