i won at a veg show

this year was my first time growing marrows an 2 got massive , a friend of mine on the site was organising a show local to me an said i can enter my marrow for the heavist one competition and i won it  :lol: i came first   :lol: :lol: thing is there was only 2 marrows in the class but hey who cares i still won  :D.

i feel bad though as i decided not to go but my freind was more then willing to take my marrow for me as i didnt really need to go if i was busy and i was :nowink: tomorw she will give me my certifcate .

it was only a little church  hall show but that doesnt matter , i could get hooked on growing bigger veg  :D am having more luck with the veg then i did with the horses years ago  :lol: :lol:

Well done :D.  I've just got home from the lottie, and I set out to cut my lawn before having a nice relaxing soak in the bath :wub:.  Anyway, I cut the grass, then remembered, I hadn't put out the washing :ohmy:.  My line is right outside my conseratory door and a couple of feet beyond the line is a big bush.  I reached up to peg my first item, when I made eye contact with the mother of all catterpillers :wacko:.  I've never seen one so big :ohmy:.  I shouted for my hubby to look at it, and he said, that's the first catterpiller we've ever had in the garden - no wonder, this one probably ate them all :tongue2:.  It was easily over 3 inches long. :ohmy:

take a look at the 'feeding marrows' thread - that one weighed 88lbs so if its near to your size you can get an approximate idea
