Harvesting - weird experience
« on: May 26, 2009, 21:43 »
This is really strange but I am actually getting nervous now that the harvesting time for my plants is near!  I have overwintered some things and have been sowing seeds since February and it is now getting near to the time that they will be ready.  I am so used to waiting that it feels weird!

My courgette has a half-sized one ready so will prob be a week or two, some of my onions are going to seed so will need to start eating those, I have a few rather large cucumbers that will be ready soon and my tomatoes have even started to appear!

I need to get my head around the fact that it is harvest time rather than waiting time!

I'd start making a list of courgette recipes now ...  :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

The onion flower heads can be snapped off now and the bulb will continue to grow. But do mark those ones and use them up first whenever harvest time happens. They won't store well.
