Has anyone grown it succesfully?  Eaten it enjoyably?

I've bought the seeds and will be giving it a try.  Some websites suggest treating it as a perennial but, since you are harvesting the root, I'm not clear on how this is possible.

we grew a load last year. it was very good.
great germination, deep rooted so drought wasn`t too much of a problem.
remove outer skin before cooking (it tastes a bit bitter)  :D

Thanks gwiz.  You can also peel after cooking.

Did you dig 'em all up (like annuals) or did you leave some in for this season?

Drought?  What drought?  I'm in Scotland and if you want it to rain them all you do is book a tee time for golf!   :D

Worst hangover of me life was after drinking tequila with a Mexican.  Got sent home from work after spending 4 hours staring blankly at the login screen of the computer.  Spent the next 48 hours alternating between bed and bathroom.  Day 3 was just a normal shocker of a hangover.

Only consolation was that my Mexican pal was in no better state.

Know what you mean WG.  Got completely blotto as a teenager on the damn stuff.  We had to do the whole lemon and salt thing too.  The last thing I remember is walking down the middle of a very busy road, miles from home.  Never did find out how I got to bed that night.  Havn't touched it since.

I was a very silly girly.

That's the stuff Auntie, thank you.  That page neatly ties in the scraps of info I had from elsewhere.  Cheers
