i've got 6 melon plants with about 20 flowers open in all but all the flowers look female!  :?  is that possible?
1 x hubby
2 x daughters
3 x chickens
1 x bunny
6 x african snails  . . . . . and counting.

Is there a huge difference in male and female flowers? ? ? ? ? i've tickled them all with a paint brush and hope that works!  :roll:  :oops:

Tiny wee thing, like a little pea on the end of female flowers tells them apart, you'll have to look hard. :lol:

they need loads of manure, loads of water and heat. Once you see 2-3 melons per plant forming, pinch off the growing ends so that energy concentrates on what will mature before fall sets in and light levels drop.

Oh, I thought I might be backwards and it may be some new variety, that's what really meant,  with mostly female flowers I don't have knowledge of. :lol:
