I moved a perennial Kale to its new home. Its not a year old yet and its huge, put three stakes in ready for the winter battering.

Caught another mouse, composted lower brassica leaves, forgot to pick more salad leaves

With serious cold on the way ( -10 °C), I tarped over raised beds of broad beans, peas, lettuce, spinach, beets, tatsoi.  Three beds out of six.  I haven't bothered with tarps over carrots, but might do so before the worst of the cold hits.

I harvested my dwarf artichokes. Its my first time growing them but the tops have gone over so here we go. The next job will be the all important taste test. Handing them over now to my assistant for cooking!

Best wait till it’s warmed up a bit in my experience…….as it needs to be warm enough to open the windows in readiness
