I sowed 3 trenches of tough as old boots Kelvedon Wonder peas four weeks ago and one seedling has just popped its head up. I think the rest must have rotted. And they were covered in fleece so they didn't get too cold.

Yet the tender French beans and runner beans I sowed in my polytunnel, with temps in the last week going between zero and 34 degrees in there, have all come up in just 8 days. Go figure.
