Bay plant issues
« on: March 17, 2013, 20:49 »
Hi,

A couple of years ago I bought a small bay plant but it hasn't grown in 2 years. I re-potted it last year as I was advised to as it's pot was very small. Over the last few weeks its started to look worse.
Here is a photo I've taken today.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance
Matt

Where do you keep it?

They are usually pretty tough and do quite well outdoors but now is not the time to be moving it if it's been grown in a sheltered environment (it obviously isn't very happy at the moment but it's not dead yet!)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

If you keep it indoor's the central heating causes dry air which will make the leaves go brown. If you keep it outside then a cold wind can do the same. Give it a top dressing of fresh compost mixed with a little fertilizer. If it is indoor's move away from radiator's and mist the leaves frequently (every other day), if it is outside give it some shelter from the wind.
