Title: council run sites
Post by: neil the allotment kid on August 11, 2007, 20:10
Hi John just a quick note regarding councils and there allotments.I dont know if you heard in the news in recent weeks, some allotments have been told their sites are being closed. The mentioned group from Eastleigh in Hampshire went up to Westminster to try and resolve this, but to no avail there appeal was turned down.this angered many plot holders.most of them have not been given any alternative sites. The worry of this has sparked alot of concern for future sites up and down the country,in easily being closed thus allowing mr brown and his thugs to build on green sites.Iwill be keeping a close eye on this.If you encounter any problems or such hearings do feel free to let me know,im quite happy to lend my might if needed.Well theres my moan. what an awful season its been we have lost every tomato to blight, many other plants have died or are very late in produce.oh well nevermind.good gardening.

Neil........
