Title: Raised beds

How big would you build a raised bed and can anybody reccomend the best ways to build them .

Any advice gratefully recieved

9 square yards  and use 6x1 tannelised wood , pegs to hold it upright and nail corners ... hope that helps , but size only works with available space .its what you can manage to reach without walking on them all the time  :wink:

Depends on how big the pallets are :D

As Munty says, so long as you can reach into the middle (with a hoe) and don't have to step inside 'love' (oops, another song has popped into my head)...will do.

my fixed beds are 4ft wide by 5m and 6m long, with paths 2ft wide in between (wide enough to get a barrow down).

our deep beds (no sides) are just over 1m wide, and between 3 and 4m long. Just make sure you can reach into the middle comfortably
