Hi all, i have built some raised beds with a soil depth of about 22 inches, would i be able to plant or sow crops closer together than it says on the packet or just use the info on the packet thanks in advance for any answers.

You can sow / plant closer in raised beds using the guides on seed packets but could end up with smaller crops than normal, which is fine if you want to harvest veg when young and tender.
What you can do is to add the distance recommended between each plant and between rows together and then divide by 2,and put all plants this far apart each way. This method does make good use of space but can be more awkward for weeding. Some varieties are well suited to this, I sowed cabbages minicole last year ,really close toether compared to traditional plantng and had great success.

so did I with the Minicoles. They aren't really mini cabbages though are they? Which is what I thought they were given the name. I was right pleased with them. Planted in rock hard undug soil too :D
