Hi, have just been to the allotment to beat the heat. I had to cut all the haulms off my potatoes as they had blight. Sadly my 'blight resistant' Koralik tomatoes also have black patches on the stems and some of the new tomatoes were turning black.
So, just wondered if I should take them all up now or wait to see if they outgrow the blight? Does blight resistant mean they dont get it (they do!) or that they survive it? They are very near to my other blight resistant varieties - Crimson Blush and Crimson Blush. These did well during the blight last year but wondering if its tempting fate to leave the Koralik near them. Anyone any experience of Koralik with blight and/or any advice please?

I have grown Koralik for a couple of seasons now.
I find it a prolific tomato that tastes good. It is certainly blight resistant for me. Last year it soldiered on when other non resistant varieties got blight, although it did eventually succumb too.
I suppose it depends how badly affected they are. I wouldn't want to risk a lot of healthy nearby crops.

Thanks AnneB. I decided to cut off affected parts (as its quite a sprawly plant anyway) and to see what happened. Up to now that seems to have worked and there hasn't been more black bits! If the forecasted rain ever happens though, Im expecting that there may be more blight to come...

I'm growing these for the first time this year, I thought they were a bushy cherry tomato, but they seem to grow quite tall and outwards quite a bit too, is that correct? I've grown determinate varieties before, and they weren't as spread or tall as these are. Can you cut off excess branches, or is it not a good idea? Thanks for any advice.

They do grow quite tall and bushy, as you would expect, so definitely need support before they fall over.
You can cut off branches, but it will reduce yield...
