Overnight storms with a good rainfall but this morning was so hot I couldn't go outside. Now it's intermittent sun and cloud with a nice bit of cooling breeze.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

It's around 24 degrees outside in the shade - not too bad in the sun as there's a fair breeze coming in from the sea. Sunburn risk though - high UV but you don't feel too hot in the breeze. Greenhouse and polytunnel well watered so we should be OK.

Yesterday afternoon was really hot and close - hid under a parasol until near six o'clock when watered the sagging plants.
Today in contrast it's near 10 degrees less, overcast with the odd spot of rain. That's more the N Wales weather we're used too!

Yesterday was HOT. My garden weather station - positioned in deep shade - reached 36.8oC

So far today it's only 24.2oC but very humid.

Yesterdays official local maximum was 34.7C (94.5F)

Despite deploying all the 'tricks' to keep the house cool (blinds/curtains, opening and closing windows at the right time) I've only just managed to get the upstairs temperature to drop below 30C.

A mere 22C here at the moment - a bit overcast but the showers have all missed here so far...

After last nights rain, it felt a little cooler and overcast this morning.  The sun has now come out, and it is hot again.   Mrs B

The advantage of having an old stone house is that it is cool in a heatwave and by the time the heatwave is passed the warmth is just about reaching inside! :)

Only 16C today, during most of which has been raining (15mm so far) - brief respite at the moment, but looks like more heading our way from the SE (bet those in the W and SW wonder what I'm on about!)

We had about three drops of rain earlier!

It is only 18c today, but the wind speeds are around 30 mph., bits of my garden plants keep flying past my window.    It did rain very hard, but is brightening up now.  Still high winds.   Mrs B

At last the wind has dropped, 16C but feels cool and damp outside. 12C overnight, needed a cardi for my morning cuppa in the greenhouse. The cloud is now thinning to show a few bits of blue.
