Evening all. Hatched some cream legbar chicks with a broody, so far 3 have hatched, 2 to go (one egg mum threw out at 10 days).
My query is..... how do I identify the male/female chicks? I remember reading about light spot on the head but can't remember which is which lol.
Will post some pics when they've finished hatching, don't want to disturb them at this stage.

Congratulations on your new chicks

I hatched some cream Legbar's earlier in the year - females have a dark stripe down their back and males are lighter in colour and have a light spot on their head.

Once they are fluffed up it should be more obvious

Well only the 3 hatched out of 6, still thats better than none!
