Can someone help me I am considering getting an eglu cube in the near future I have contacted omlet and they have confirmed that the cube is large enough to house 10 hybrid hens, has anyone got one of these cubes and uses it to home 10 hens?

Goodness, they are big, but 10 seems a bit ambitious.

Why not go on one of their chicken courses, you'll get the opportunity to have a good look at a cube and eglu, and talk to someone who's used one.

I've got one and i've got 3 hybrids. I would say there's room for 6 larger breeds or 10 bantams and I'm pretty sure Omlet says that in their blurb.

My six little hens have loads of room in the house they only take up a quarter of the perch space. I think you can comfortably fit 10 big birds in the house. However I would say that even though my girls have the run and extension, 3m worth, and this is fine for them, I wouldn't have 10 in this space. I would want a run of at least 4m. My girls are free range for 3 days too. The house will be fine for 10 though and cubes are great - hope you get one!
