Best three guitar solos/riffs...
« on: September 23, 2017, 18:45 »
As there aren't many more proper gardening days now, it's time to don the earphones, turn on Youtube etc., and think of waving your arms about and collecting a few shivers up the spine for good measure...

So here's a few of mine, and I'll probably add to them later when I remember them at 3:00am...

1) The Eagles - 'Hotel California'

2) The Carpenters - 'Goodbye to love'

3) Genesis - Live at Knebworth 1992 'Firth of Fifth'

Deep Purple       Smoke on the water

Punk isn't dead...it's underground where it belongs. If it comes to the surface it's no longer punk...it's Green Day!

I suppose David Gilmour's solo on 'The Wall', is a seminal piece too. Even the bass is just as good, with just  a few notes thumping along...

So play it three times and let it get on the list...

Old, one of my all time faves from Fleetwood Mac is 'Jigsaw puzzle Blues'. (Other side of 'Albatross'

I just love it, and when I got my first Ipod, it was the first download I did...

Again, play it three times for this particular list!

Gary Moore - End of the world (some will recognise this from Fluff Freeman's Sat night/Sunday Morning Rock Show)

Led Zeppelin - How Many More Times (great bass line, and riff..)

Fleetwood Mac - The Chain (ah, c'mon.. probably one of the best known bass lines ever!)
"There's no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing, so get yourself a sexy raincoat and live a little." - Billy Connolly
