Anybody grown any of this?  If so whats it like and what sort of other foods do you have with it?

It's like a well flavoured turnip. Peppery. Use in any veg pot or dish you like, much like any root.

Love it on salads, always grow loads me self, fresh its is really juicy, crunchy and as gobs says good flavour. pretty easy to grow as well.

as the others say its like a better flavoured turnip its great in stews etc and its also very tasty fried in breadcrumbs
Everyone should grow their own veg and know where their food is coming from even if it is only a one pot on a patio or balcony Grow Something!!

Almost like a large, mild radish.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

I grew them once or twice before, and they certainly grew better than any swede I've ever tried. Tastewise, can't honestly remember.
Reminds me I must try and grow them again this year, just need to go on the hunt for a packet of seeds. :D

I love these just on their own, great for starters. Don't let them get big,
just peel then slice or cube and have with mayonnaise. Absolutely
delicious!
