moulded doors...any use on allotment?
« on: May 19, 2011, 18:22 »
Hi
Just replaced some doors at home so now have 7 internal doors, was going to take them to the dump but wondered if anyone had any ideas of uses on the allotment? they are gloss painted and are the moulded ones rather than solid wood.

Any suggestions....had some thoughts about windbreaks at plot edges but would have to dig down quite a way to support them

A potting shelf in the GH or Polytunnel?  Or shelving?

Our current allotment shed is entirely made from mix of internal and external doors - some still with letterboxes on them. Whole thing covered in roofing felt.

It was built by previous plot holder and has been going for years.

thanks guys, they are a little too damaged (and have now been rained on) to put on freecycle although did think about it.

Have a shed already...but maybe could build an extension to it with the doors but main concern was that it wouldnt last very long in rain?

Moulded internal doors are basically hardboard and cardboard and have a very limited lifespan anywhere wet or even damp.
