Mrs TDT has just bought a load of stuff for the freezer so I've had to take 25lbs of frozen damsons out and start the damson wine,I did want to leave it for a while as I'm a bit bogged down with other stuff,I've just racked 10 galls of cider and I've another 10 ready for "bag in a box", it's hard fitting it all in with the grandkid duties, think I'll have to do a night shift.
The son and heir does all grain brewing with my assistance, I usually clean up and sample previous brews, we did an experiment last time, ran an extra 12 pints of water through the
mash at the end of the 90 minute steep, brought it home boiled it up with the spent hops and added some crystal malt then dry hopped it with citra hops, what a brew!!! nearly free beer.What more could a man want? Mind you I slipped up with the sugar it finished at 5 .8%
