short term planting advice
« on: August 16, 2010, 10:24 »
Hi, advice please.

I've now got a clear patch, approx 1.5m x  2m in a bed 1.5m x 3m. I've a couple of sprouts and celeriacs at one end and a sprout and a little perpetual spinach at the other  (don't ask about planting technique ). What will give me a fairly quick return at this time of year? The bed is intended for tatoes next year.

Thanks in advance M
When I arrived, there were so many docks, I thought it was Southampton.

You'll get a harvest in about 5 weeks with oriental veggies such as pak choy, komatsuna, choi sim. Just make sure they get plenty of water and protection from cabbage whites and flea beetles.
