Hi i have chickens ranging from 11 weeks upto 19 weeks and because some are due to start laying and some aren`t not sure what i should be feeding them, do i feed them all growers pellets or swap them all onto layers pellets? and do i feed layers before they start laying or when they actually start laying? thanks

if you're raising layer hens: From hatching until six weeks of age, give your baby chicks a chick feed Once they hit six weeks of age, feed your chickens grower until age 20 weeks. After that, switch them to layer feed

You can feed growers until they lay their first egg :) As long as they have both grit and oyster shell available they'll be fine.

always difficult when you have a flock of mixed ages but normally advised to feed all the diet suited to the youngest, ie better to leave on growers even if some are technically old enough to be on layers
