I wasn't aware that Monosodium Glutamate was added to chicken feed.  Please tell us more!

I would also love to know why soya is bad for people and animals.  Do let us all know what you have found out.

Not really a scientific study but an "anti" interest group.

Are there any scientific studies we could read ?

I'm sure i read something somewhere, but i'm also sure you could get GM free feed, most feeds have all ingredients listed on bag, also you could ring manufacturers and check before buying. Hope you find what you need, all the best.

Lots of info, but too many special interest AKA 'buy my product' sites. Most concentrate on the way minerals are lost/not absorbed or reducing phytic acid content with little attention to 'real people' and quote 1950 research. There are good recent studies, one of which shows that addition of soya flour to chappattis would increase the mineral uptake for the many poorer Indians who eat these as a staple because the wheat flour contains more phytate than soy flour ( http://www.emeraldinsight.com/journals.htm?articleid=1501548&ini=xref&show=html).
The Lionsgrip page is misleading as it is the trypsin inhibitors in Soy beans which are cause for concern and the heating will not remove. I think they are talking about the glycoprotein lectin (this is why you have to boil red kidney beans and rinse if using them at home).
The lack of control in the early GM crops of soy mean that it is almost impossible to guarantee that soy bean products from the USA are GM free.

Isn't it good to know we all care about our little beasties enough to look into all these things.
