Title: Self watering devices

I keep forgetting to water one of my flower containers because it is by my front door and not with all the other out the back.  I am forever killing my plants because of this.  I am seriously considering a self watering device to sort this problem out.  Has anyone any good advise/experience with an attractive means of doing this?

I have the spikes with holes in that screws onto a plastic bottle
