Title: old seed packets
Post by: mumof4 on February 23, 2008, 12:06
I have found some more seeds in my shed that I had forgotton about some are unopened and some have been opened. They were sat in a sweets tin but the lid was off do you think they would germinate, most are flower seeds but there is the odd packet of veg.

I know most of you would say go for it but I don't want to waste compost if they are unlikely to grow.

Sprinkle a few of each on damp paper towel, if any germinate then try the rest in soil. Don't let the paper dry out though :)

Good luck.

Thanks Nikki will try and see what happens, does seem a shame to throw seeds away.
