In a dry year, you wouldn't want all the watering it needs, believe me  ::)  :nowink:

One of the things I do  to help with soil condition is to always have some clay dried-out then pounded to a powder then when I am doing anything with seeds or compost add the clay powder to it, it does help with stopping light compost drying out.

But of course this is just small scale stuff I would have to use a industrial process to make any real difference.
