When should I sow F1 Burpless Tasty Green cucumbers so that the plants be ready for hardening off about the middle of May to plant outside by the end of May?

I sowed mine in the living room on 29th March and they're a couple of inches, just getting proper leaves.
They probably grow quicker if you seed later so any time this month would do.

I sowed mine last year on 20th April and planted out a month later

Around the last week of this month for me along with most other stuff like runner/ climbing beans, courgettes etc.

start mine of nowish in a propogator as soon as they germinate whip them out smartish and grow them on in COOL conditions

Did mine 2-3 wks ago and they're coming along fine - 'bout an inch tall.

Will remember to keep them cool along with the brassicas by the sounds of it!

I sowed mine four weeks ago on the window sill. They're in the greenhouse now and are about 6 inches tall. Looking good so far.
