I reckon we've more up Hexham way than you have in Blyth chrissie - at the moment. Daughter's at work in Edinburgh and was sent home to her lodgings at 3pm when they closed her university campus. There's a red warning up there so whether she gets home for the weekend we don't know.

Currently about 9 inches of snow and still coming down. Last checked, temperature was -4C. Lots more to come apparently. Worst weather since that horrible 2010 winter

Not a huge amount of snow here, but it's -5c out already. Don't recall it ever being this cold here before, we normally get avoid the worst of the weather here.

When I got up I looked out and was really surprised - it seemed the weather forecast was wrong and it was melting. Actually -6ºC and the wind had blown patches clear. Went outside to open up the hen coop and Oh Boy! Cutting, freezing wind.

Flurries of snow still but the sky looks a little lighter , correction horrazontil snow oh and a splash of sun , the robins on the bird table are up to their bums in snow , oh big bags of bird food £1 b and m .

A light covering of snow but a very strong and bitter wind is blowing everything about. Brrrr!

 Here on the IOW we have a snow flurry nothing heavy and its  --2  and a cold wind,,

Not much show over night,but the wind is so strong,all my winds are whistling,bad doule glazing (old)and its freezing in the house even with the heating on 24/7.
Roll on spring come back sunny days asap.

Here in the Netherlands, no snow but in my town it  is now -9, with strong winds which makes the windchillfactor temperature -18,3 now.  The dogs don't feel like going out at all :-)

Windy here and the snow is piling up a bit now.  I have my mother's cat staying at the moment, but he has mostly been a snoring lump under the duvet for the last few days.  Today is no exception.

That's what I feel like doing tbh - instead I get up as usual, sit around doing nothing much but moan about the weather - what's the point? I'd probably feel better and eat less  just staying under the duvet

It's just started to snow again.  Garden is covered and we can't get out of our road as it's on a hill so Paul has stayed at home and is getting under my feet!

Hello readers,
Got up this morning let hens out 6:50 and a bit of a thaw started.
I'm in the South of England or UK for the American readers.
Chickens a bit happier although the grass is still mainly covered with snow the paths are a bit clear do hens can get about a bit.
