Title: Hello from Essex

Hi
Just joined this site as we’ve just taken on our first half-plot. I think our patch hasn’t really had anything done to it for a few years so lots of clearing to do first. There’s a couple of what I’d call 'fanned out' (like how grape vines are grown) cooking apple trees, a small eating apple tree, some raspberry and blackcurrant bushes. Started digging it over a couple of weeks ago and got up enough potatoes for our Sunday lunch. Bonus! The ground is full of what I’ve been told is 'Twitch' so I’m gradually working our way through that. Would like to plant something in the next couple of weeks but I’ll ask that in another post.
