hi im building an 8ft x 9ft run and have ordered a eglu cube i was just wondering how many chickens would be happy in the run ? they would be allowed to roam the garden now and again,

8 squre yards or about 6.6 square metres

So at maximum density of 1 sq metre per hen it would be 6 hens

We generally recommend 2 squ metres per hen so we would say 3 hens.
