Hi all

Im new to the forum.  I have just bought a rotorvator and Im wondering if anyone recognises it.  Im looking for a manual and have no idea of the make.

It says its manufactured by burns outdoor power equipment of plymouth.

Thanks

Lou

Hi, welcome to the forum. The only reference I can find to it is the Burns Outdoor Power Equipment Company of Burns, Oregon. They made a 'Rototiller' with a Clinton engine which doesn't appear to have been a runaway success, but were subsequently bought out - but I don't know who by.

If it's any help, my late 60's Wolseley Merry Tiller 'Professional' also has a Clinton 3 1/4 HP engine, but I've not managed to find a workshop manual that covers this engine

The plate says Burns outdoor power equipment Plymouth.  I have been told it has a briggs and stratton engine, but have been unable to confirm this.

Thanks

Should be a plate on the engine somewhere - if it's B&S then you should have no problem, there are plenty of workshop manuals reproduced on the forum that should cover it - you may just need to identify what other models used the same engine as yours  ;)

Cheers thanks

Off to the allotment with it tonight - to give it a test run.

Thanks

We could do with a bigger photo. Does the plate actually say “manufactured by burns outdoor power equipment of Plymouth”? If it doesn’t, the plate may be for a garden equipment retailer who sold it.
