Does anyone keep them?

Having just seen and heard about their eggs, I think I may have to get some!

Lovely deep chocolatey brown and apparently the taste is second to none!

Friend of mine who is a bit of an amazing chef says that they're the best he's ever had...

I have a chap in the village who wants some, and he has asked me to hatch them if he buys some eggs.

I believe they were developed by the people who own Legbars of Broadway?

Well his granny!  :D

They do look nice don't they?  But if they are classed as pure breeds, then they probably won't lay in the winter, which is no good for me as my egg customers would complain!

and Brian complains now because our pure breeds aren't laying, although I did get a blue egg today, first time for a month!

Yes scabs, not cheap eh????

They do look nice. Almost makes me wish I had space for some hens as well.

Ah well, one day, but for now will have to stick to the ducks and quail.
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

Day olds are £10 each with a minimum order of ten... If anyone in the north west wants to go in together next year, I may well be up for that.

Unless my guy can source some.

Have done a bit of googling but can't seem to find too much out.

Did find a previous thread on here from earlier in the year that was quite interesting though.

Might email the breeder and see how forthcoming they are...
