what can i plant now?

ive just got my allotment ready for planting and i just want to get somthing in there, but just not sure what to plant

please help,

I would wait at the very least another month.

Even where you are the ground just isn't warm enough yet.
Seeds and bulbs that go in too early can just rot and you end up losing your crop.

I admire your keenness, but is there any other job you could do?
Has the whole plot been dug?
Is your compost area sorted?

I agree with fatbelly. First thing I'll be putting in the plot is shallots in Late Feb/Early March, although so seed raising will go on indoors & in the greenhouse.

Don't be too eager, better to plant later when it's warmer than early & your plants have a set back.

if you have a greenhouse - sow some seeds - so you are ready in the spring

fruit bushes could go in - as can rhubarb

you will just have to wait a bit - just make sure the plot stays nice and clear
