I've been alternating veggie and non-veggie for the last few days.

Tues was bean burgers with hm wedges and coleslaw.  Yesterday was steak, roasted baby potatoes and a tomato salad.  Tonight was plot tomatoes I ripened indoors in a pasta bake with aubergines and peppers.

That has got through a fair few of the small plot spuds, some cabbage and almost the last of the summer crops ... unless the courgette fairy has visited again when I check the plot

I made a lot of pasta sauce on Thursday and the leftovers have been lurking in the fridge since.  Fried some chunks of chicken breast and then simmered them with the sauce.  Served with ricotta mashed potatoes, as I had half a tub of this lurking as well.

It was absolutely lovely  :)

Birthday lunch out was an 'Ultimate' mixed grill which was fantastic but I'm so full dinner will probably be a bit of fruit, some crisps and a bag of beef jerky :)

Paul got some reduced lamb chops from the Co-op this morning and we decided to have them for dinner.  We each took one bite and said they had a 'taste' and didn't eat any more.  Did manage to eat the roast potatoes and veg though.  (The sell by date was today so they should have been okay but obviously not.)

Beef stew.  I faffed about this morning and got it into the slow cooker, then it blipped away all day.   Any faff was completely worth it when I got in tonight and tea was there ready, plus the house smelled glorious  :D
