I basically cooked a Cornish pasty without the pastry - mince, plus sliced potatoes, swede and onions cooked in a pot with lots of pepper and a little salt  :D

I defrosted a chicken leg for a roast dinner, but I'm soo hot after digging the garden veg bed, that I think I'll strip the meat off the bone and so a quick stir-fry, instead.
Supping a nice cold shandy right now   8)

BBQ tonight, h.m. burgers, snags and a lonely pork chop which I've sous vide and will scorch on the coals.
Lots of salad, Jersey royals. Strawbs and cherries from the garden for pud.

Pizza, made from scratch by my grandson.  All I had to do was make some salad and open the lager.  He's 12 and loves cooking.  Lovely to get back from walking the dog and find it sitting on the doorstep.

I'm paying respect to my first proper picking of Hurst Greenshaft - by cooking a pea and ham risotto :)
I didn't find any 'extra protein' when I podded the peas

I made too much smoked mackeral pate back in December for 'that time of year' so finished it off tonight with crusty bread, salad and potato salad.  Only five  packs of smoked salmon left on the top shelf of the freezer which is usually reserved for that time of the year.  :D Paul does tend to start buying it when it's reduced from about September onwards.  Last year we had eighteen packs, but at 50p a pack I don't complain.

Yesterday afternoon, I heated through a Sainsburys Cheese and Onion Quiche.    I normally eat half and half the next day.   But it was too tasty and I ate it all.    Jacket tonight, but run out of salad.
