Cottage pie with all the veg already in it, so not much clearing up after dinner, but plenty before lol

Cottage pie for me as well, courtesy of Sainsbury's ready meals.    I shall prep, fine green beans, carrots and celery to go with it.

Yesterday in the shed I fund my last Tromba squash was getting nibbled at the seed end. I cut the end off and brought the rest home - It'll be sliced in long strips to replace the pasta layers in a 'Lasagna' :) What's left will make a soup for freezing in portions.

Great idea, I must try them this year. I could grow them t’other side of my munty frame, they’d have over 6ft to hang down lol.

Tonight it was baked salmon with Boulanger potatoes, cheese sauce, peas, carrots, cauliflower, sweetcorn & broad beans.

Leftover pork with black pudding for Husband, maybe with smoky bacon or smoked paprika, cabbage and peas.

The in laws dropping out out of Sunday dinner by giving themselves food poisoning has had effects on our menu. At least the chicken will be gone at lunch. Last night was a butter chicken curry without the nearly 60g of butter to make it healthier. They don't know what it should taste like with the butter so leaving it out wasn't a problem.

Invited to a W.I. Birthday Tea Party.    A friend said she is going to "Eat her weight in cake".     This particular W.W. has an excellent reputation for their scones, cakes, etc.   :)

Still as yet unknown. Sprog has been off ill from school for the last few days and now I've succumbed to the contagion. The good lady is late back from work tonight so I suspect she'll take an executive decision and pick up a Chinese takeaway on the way back.

*update* Mystic P1P was right, Chinese it was!

No cooking for me tonight  :)  Off to the Toby carvery with a friend for lunch.   The day will work in reverse, and tonight I shall have cereal and fruit.

Last night was cottage pie with a twist.  The filling was a fridge clearing mix of bacon and veg, with roasted squash, tomato sauce and cooked black beans from the freezer.  The top was cheesey mash.  It worked well  :)
