wots wrong with yams thar great vegs and easy to grow

Nothing wrong with them, Nobby, or with any other veg, it just made me laugh as seasonal allotment growing in the UK.

If you don't mind asking, as I've never tried them and from what I read there is no active growth under 20C, do you grow them in a gh and how much is the crop? :)

Japanese Yam, I don't think I can even recall seeing one in real life, Aunty. Are they on sale in the UK?

This is getting interesting...

I'm still wondering though if people mean sweet potato - Ipomea  - when talking yam. :?

I can't find a supplier on the net.  Sweet potatoes would be easier though they're still difficult  :!:

Just so gobs.

Melons are about as tropical as we can manage, and they're not easy either .

I'm sticking to the things that work and don't waste me time or land

Would you know Eristic, why okra plants would drop their buds before opening?

If grown under cover it could be lack of polination or drought. Outside possibly too cold.
