Feather Plucking

Ive noticed that my black tailed columbian was losing her neck feathers and thought she might be moulting.  Today when they were all lying in the sun she was lay next to the bluebell who was gently picking feathers from her neck.  She didnt seem bothered by this and they certainly werent aggressive......  Is this usual ?  (so much to know & learn)

check them over for lice, look under the wings, on belly, around vent and on the neck. If you haven't dusted them it might be that.

hens will also eat feathers to supplement their protein and calcium, check they are eating their layers pellets and cut down on their treats.
Staffies are softer than you think.
