Girls losing neck feathers
« on: February 28, 2011, 13:59 »
My girls are losing their neck feathers, should I worry?  One of the girls is very keen on preening the others and i have seen her pull feathers but she too is losing neck feathers.  Any ideas?

Your girlies can just moult at the neck!  I was worried when this happened to my girl. It was her first bit of moulting but I was assured by my supplier that it was perfectly normal and no cause for concern. He was right  :)  It does pay though to be vigilant and check for any "lodgers"  :D
