Feather eating can start in the diet is deficient in protein.

To boost protein  you can add some turkey starter to the layers pellets/mash which will increase the overall protein of the food.

General feather pecking can be start as a response to stress, or boredom also.

Hi
I'm not the most experienced, but I think I read on here that it can be a sign that they are lacking something in their diet.
Are they getting good quality pellets, oyster shell, grit and some greens?

Thanks for that info, as far as i am aware, they are fed on good quality pellets and greens, dont know how they can be stressed or bored as they have free range to all of my back garden and theonly time they get locked up is afer dark, thanks anyway.

Can you add "enrichment" to their area (as well as boosting protein intake as feathers are apparently chock full of protein) as this might help to break the habit?

Random perches, logs they can pick at for insects, greens tied up at head height, scattered pellets/corn/treats so they have to work harder for food?
