Lilac help please.....

Hi, My white lilac shrub has these markings on the leaves and I am hoping someone out there may be able to tell me what has caused this. The shrub is close to conifers, but the roots are not dry. There doesn't appear to be any blisters, so I have ruled out galls but may be mistaken. Any help appreciated.

Have the markings only appeared as the leaves are beginning to drop? If so I'd say they're nothing to worry about, just part of the autumn colour change display.
