has anyone ever used the brewmaker lager kit?

its from there essential range?


just wonderd if there was any feedback as i have never used any of there products

Hi seadart - this looks like a good site.
Mrs.Novice saw some homebrew kits today and suggested I give it a go.
She said I'd be better off storing it in one of those big plastic keg affairs...but I think bottles would be better ( easier to stash a few away in my shed up at the lottie )
From a quality point of view - which is best ?

Though there are some good kits out there, the best homemade beer is made from first principles. When I was brewing from syrup, I used pale malt extract, then later, went the whole hog and bought a mash tun, so now it's done from scratch. The beer needs to be treated correctly from the start. Needs scrupulous hygine. And then the temperature has to be right. Takes me a day to make 10 gallons of wort, from 14kg maris otter malted barley.

You could always put some in both, a barrel and bottles that way you could have draught at home and bottled up the allotment!  :lol:  :lol:
