For my 3" seeding pots I raid the bin at work and collect the throw away plastic cups from the coffee vending machine. Put some drainage holes in and they are perfect as 3" starter pots.

I find the containers you get fruit in supermarkets are very handy - holes in the bottom as well and deep enough for leeks and other deep things.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

I use yogurt pots, the plastic tubs that veg come in from supermarkets, margerine tubs and icecream tubs. Hubby goes mental, says i should buy proper plant pots instead as they look nicer. ( i fill our lounge window with seedlings)
